Sorry to keep you waiting. I just haven't been in the mood to post lately.
The good news around here is that our school psychologist was fired! Ever hear of that happening, teachers? Not me. I wasn't exaggerating. She really sucked. Unfortunately, I've been picking up the slack with the paperwork. The only good thing about that is that I'm getting paid to do it: I've already spent close to 10 hours in the last two weeks. We haven't been aloud to contact her even though she has important documents, like signed consent forms. I have a feeling she is suing the district. She had a hearing impairment, and seemed to use that to make the occasional dig. For example, during one of our conversations, I disagreed with her interpretation of what a parent had said. Rather than have an adult conversation, she said, "I'm not that deaf." Nice. Tacky.
We've picked out paint colors for the dining room, living room, office, and Nora's bedroom. We're going for a light yellow in Nora's room, dark blue/grey for the dining room, dark taupe for the living room, and slate for the office. We are going to get light grey carpet installed in the office and have navy accents in the room. This will be the guest room, but it will also serve as the 'man room.' I wanted to make sure it was 'manly' enough for Brian ;-)

I totally understand that "not in the mood" thing. I'm rarely in the mood to much of anything.... ;)
I'm happy for you to not have to work with that "psych" now! She must have been REALLY bad to get fired... that just doesn't happen. I also can't wait to see pics of your new paint.
"Man Room"... 'nuff said. You 'da man B.
The Kirkland schools must have a combination of swift decision makers and a weak union to get rid of somone that quickly. Perhaps there was a "last straw(s)" incident following years of job targets. In any event, it sounds like good news for you, April. The colors sound great!
She was actually still in her probation period, thank goodness!
