House Updates

After a year and a half of waiting, we had the rest of the carpet removed and replaced with wood while in Wisconsin. We also replaced the kitchen faucet on Brian's last day of freedom. He's back at work today for the first time in four weeks! Next comes getting new furniture, building book shelves, and rearranging rooms. Hopefully that won't take another year and a half, but I'm not holding my breath.

Everything looks great and I bet it feels like a huge house now! I love how you have rearranged the furniture. Your faucet is beautiful...it looks very familiar to me :) You have good taste!

Wow - - it changes the whole look of your house, don't you think? Can't wait to see it in person!

So, how has Sydney acted??? Hopefully, her kitty litter is being well used now that "her" carpet is gone.

You get a lot of traffic here, girl! I've been studying interior architecture/design in Chicago the past year. Looks pretty good, the house, remember that the tee-vee doesn't have to be the centerpiece of your living room! However, this is said from someone who has no children ;)

I completely agree, Jamie. Our hope is to build some shelves on the left side of the wall that use the same white wood that surrounds the fire place (that is right behind where I'm standing when I take this picture) to bring that element across the room. That wall is too long to only have the TV there. Do you have any other suggestions? Seriously, we could use some!
