Work

I have made it through my first week back at work. My students are still pretty good, Dydy the nanny is still wonderful, and my children seem to be fine without me for part of the day. All in all, I think I'll be able to make it until June 19th.

The hardest part to adjust to is to have everyone pottied, watered, and fed before 7:00 AM. My anal tendencies have come out in droves and are making sure everyone is on the appropriate schedule...even Brian. I'm one of those teachers that prefers to arrive an hour and a half before the children arrive and leave as soon as contractually allowed. This requires very early mornings. So far, so good.

On a completely different subject, I have now found that my perfectly stick straight hair is now wavy, almost freaking curly! I hear this can happen "pc" (post-childbirth). This morning I put some schmag in it, scrunched it up, and it magically became a full head of curly hair. I walked out to the living room and Brian exclaimed, "Dude, your hair is BIG!" I figure I may as well roll with it and enjoy having something that isn't flat against my head for once in my life. It may also expedite that morning routine process :-)

I'm the opposite. My hair has always had wicked waves and cowlicks- I've often wished for straight hair. But, on the plus side, after being awake for 15 hours, my hair is still "big"

Glad you made it through work ok. I'm sure it was super hard on you. At least there's a light at then end of a fairly short tunnel right now!!

Glad to hear the first week back went well...but June 19??? Wow! I thought our extra week of snow days was bad and we're done June 6...I guess the northwest is on a different schedule than the midwest huh?
