Proud and Pissed
I was thinking the other day...how did I know Brian was going to be such a wonderful father? The truth is, it didn't even cross my mind how Brian would fare in the area of fatherhood when we got married at the ripe old ages of 21 and 22. All I knew at the time was that he was gorgeous, intelligent, and good in the sack. Seriously, what else was there at the time?
I have been very lucky to have such a wonderful man that not only enjoys being around his children, but wants to be around them too! The other night, Brian kicked me out of the house to go work out so he could put both of the kiddos to bed on his own. This may have been a little selfish on his part, considering he's probably sick of looking at my huge butt, but for the most part, I believe he really looks our for me and makes sure our rolls are balanced. He takes care of me and both of our children famously. I really couldn't do it without him.
Now to the pissed off part. Brian and I have both been working pretty hard the last four months at taking off all the extra weight that has accumulated over the past year. I'm happy about my 7 pounds of weight loss, but am flabbergasted at Brian's 27! How does this happen to men? It seems to just melt off him without much effort. I am very proud of him and enjoy seeing him flit out of the bathroom in the morning, buck naked, mind you, to shout his new number from the rooftops.
Brian, I'm very proud of you and thrilled to have you as my husband and co-parent.
